Reviews of Tia by the river
"Always great food, great staff and great service. Definitely worth a visit! Have been a good few times and each time - everything was perfect."
"Had a lovely meal at Tia by the River in March. Cozy and very welcoming little restaurant, with food much nicer than you'd expect from a little village. Can't wait to go back!"
"Dinner with friends, booked a table for 8pm, arrived and welcomed by a lovely waitress. We ordered wine and our food, the service was good, our food arrived fairly soon after ordering, we had scallops, monkfish scampi, ham croquettes and soup followed by main courses of salmon, lamb and ravioli (the ravioli was not great, we mentioned this to the chef and it was immediately taken off our bill). We had a selection of the cakes for dessert followed by coffees. Overall we really enjoyed our dinner and it's great to see small restaurants being supported by locals and visitors alike. Really good service."
"Disappointing We had lunch at the sister cafe just up the street. It was really delicious and I even bought a granola pot for breakfast which was also really good. Therefore we were really looking forward to dinner in Tia by the River. We booked a table for five at 7:30pm. We turned up a little early and were given a table outside. The area was covered but there were no heaters so we kept our coats on the entire time. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we all ordered the tapas menu at 7:40pm. The first tapas arrived at 8:10. It was one delicious ham croquette, the size of a marble. It was gone in ten seconds. The second tapas arrived 20 minutes later and was equally delicious but unfortunately equally small. A third arrived shortly after 9pm with a similar result. I had to leave after I was performing at an event in the town which was supposed to start at 9. The rest of the party stayed on and finished the tapas. The final was a little more substantial. I was charged full price €35 for 6 tapas. I felt this was totally overpriced for the quantity. Every table around us ordered extra bread between the courses. By the time they had served the whole table some of us were finished the morsels of food before the others had started. I was also disappointed with the length of time between courses. I left hungry."
