Reviews of Cronin’s Sheebeen
"The fresh fish was cooked to perfection! The chicken wings were also outstanding. The Guinness was cool and creamy. What more could you ask for? Great, friendly service - well you've got that too!!"
"We got stranded near here thinking it was where we were supposed to be. The staff were so kind, helpful and set a table for 11 of us in a matter of minutes. The menu was lovely, with lots of choice and the kids menu was fantastic! The food was so tasty and didn't take long. Very reasonable. Again the staff were so good, got us taxis and everything to help us out. They were amazing! Definitely back again"
"The food was tasty but the portions were very small. I've seen bigger portion for children. Staff were friendly but seemed to be rushing people from the tables. The dining area was a mess with kids running around everywhere. Some staff did try to do something about it but got no support from the parents"
"I went there with my sister, mum and niece for a mini hen and it was fabulous. They organised sparkling wine, etc for us. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Will be back again when I visit."
"Stopped on a whim, and we were lucky enough to get a table because of a cancellation. Had a gorgeous view over the water from the front of the bar, and the food hit the spot in terms of seafood gastropub summertime. Mussels, oysters, fish, steak, chicken - the menu stayed pretty classic with some interesting vegetarian options adding something a bit different. (Tuscan bean stew was one option!). Small but good wine menu and some cocktails to get started. Rounded out our day in Westport and the surrounding coastline just perfectly. Casual style service, which was what we were looking for. Busy place with three evening sittings, so we didn't linger long with our table but would have been amazing to have the 9pm sitting and watch that sunset come in over the bay. What a location!"
