Sol Rio Restaurant

"With an abundance of bars and restaurants in Westport and I think you'd do well to find a bad one. But what a gem of a restaurant we found in Sol Rio. Run by Evan and his father (from Portugal) it was an amazing dining experience. The pasta dish was probably the best I've ever tasted. Every thing from start to finish was fabulous. With his beautiful, friendly wait staff, Evan took care of us exceptionally well. And the value for money was outstanding. We will definitely come back here to eat again."

"Walked in off the street very late on newyears day, we were let down by our hotel so we were not expecting a table anywhere. Front of house asked the chef and he we were happily given a table. We were just going to have mains to allow the kitchen to finish up but were encouraged by the very friendly server to take our time and order what we wanted. So glad we did as everything was amazing. Scallops with black pudding for me and beetroot and goats cheese salad for herself (best one she's ever had apparently) Then on to chicken Cacciatore for herself and lamb with duck for me, absolutely amazing food and atmosphere, we would definitely recommend and next time we're in Westport we'll be going at a more reasonable hour.
