Reviews of The Brandywell
"My friend and I stayed 2 nights at this beautiful establishment. On arrival Jo and Jerry introduced themselves and they are indeed lovely people who really cannot do enough for you. We were shown to our room and this hotel doesn't look that big but it really does have a lot of rooms. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was big, comfortable and roomy. Shower is powerful with a good pressure also. Only 1 point of constructive criticism would be a larger towel would have been good however in the scale of things it wasn't an issue. We had breakfast both mornings down in the bar and it was beautiful, really good selection on the breakfast menu and everything is brought to you fresh. Unfortunately we didn't sample lunch but the food coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful. There is ample parking here and its not too far from Carrick on Shannon either. I would definitely come back here and stay. Keep up the good work guys."
"An excellent pub, B&B and restaurant. It has a modern bar with an old time feel which is very hard to come by, and an excellent atmosphere that is welcoming to all. The manager Jo is both friendly and helpful, will make your stay, be it short or long, a great experience. It was my first time here, but it felt like I was here 100 times in the best possible way. It's nearby location to Carrick on Shannon while still feeling like your in a nice country pub, is well worth a stay. Nice rooms and great food to top it off. A gem of a location and experience."
"A well deserved 5 stars all round. Booked for a after funeral event. From start to finish it was a class act. Friendly attentive staff. Super food and service. Many thanks to all the staff for making a sad day a little happier. Charles Galvin"
"We booked The Brandywell for our Christmas staff night out and I am very glad that we did. The food was absolutely beautiful; a varied menu to satisfy everyone, and good sized portions. The restaurant setting was very nice. The service was quick. And, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend The Brandywell and I will be back again in the future."
"We stopped for food here whilst travelling home from an event. It’s safe to say we didn’t regret it. The staff in The Brandywell were amazing and very accommodating, from the owner Gerry to all of the waiting/bar staff, especially Hugh. Superb quality food at a very reasonable price. Will have to call in again"
