"For the price we paid €30 Euro for single occupancy in a double room with breakfast was fine. Yes the rooms are dated, but for the money paid for me excellent value. The owner was friendly and the breakfast of cereal, cooked breakfast (albeit no black and white pudding) toast, tea and juice was fine. If you want a cheaper place to stay in Ireland this was fine."
"Avoid this place at all costs looks grand from the outside but inside is a completely different story ..we needed a room for the night and this was the only place left in town we got 2 rooms for €80 .. very basic to say the least but on closer inspection it was a different story .. .. We didn't have to sign anything,no reception,no fire doors,no escape plan, mouldy and damp .. mouldy curtains and stained carpets .. the back of the premises was something beyond words.. We didn't stay for breakfast just wanted to get out of there .. We talked to the land lady about how unhappy we were and she was very rude and we felt intimidated .. there was no need for her attitude .. there was myself,my partner and 14 year old daughter .. thank God we had sleeping bags and other bedding in the car it came in very handy .."

"French + English If you are looking for luxury, go your way... The price of the night is 25€ PP, there is a bedroom, a very small bathroom (a little dubious, admittedly), free WIFI, a TV and an Irish breakfast included in the price... and it there's Geraldine and all that in Clifden town center (ok, you have to walk at least 1 minute 30 to cross the road and arrive on the main street... yes, that's humor) We had room #5 with perfectly fine bedding and a small bathroom where you can see that there hasn't been any maintenance for some time... But the water is hot and the toilets work... So everything is there to spend a decent night there even if it's outdated The breakfast room is certainly cluttered with clean towels and sheets with the washing machine and the dryer, but that didn't bother us, the dishes were clean and the breakfast was ok... And there is Geraldine, I fell in love with this person, she is very kind, helpful and pleasant, always a nice little word... I know there will be negative comments maybe to come, but for such a low price, I think you have to take into consideration the fact that the necessary is present, a bed as it should be, towels that smell of laundry and what to wash... When I return to the Wild Atlantic Way, Clifden, I will probably make another stop here, if Geraldine is still there! If you look for a great standing place, then don't stop here The price is 25€PP per night, it includes a bedroom, a very small bathroom (needs some work in it), free WIFI, TV, and Irish breakfast and Geraldine... All that in the Center of Clifden (ok you have to walk about 1.30min to cross a road and join the main street, yes, it's humor) We had room #5 with a nice bed and a very small bathroom in where I already mentioned, it needs some attention, but the water is hot and the toilets works perfectly, so you can have a good night there, even if it looks a bit old fashioned The breakfast room is small and you can see the clean laundry but the dishes were clean and the food was very nice And there is Geraldine, she is very nice, helpful always with a nice word for you! I know some negative comments will probably follow mine but keep in mind it's a very low price, you have a nice bed, towel smelling fresh laundry and all you need to wash If I go again to Clifden I will stop there again, of course if Geraldine is still there!"
