"Hillside Lodge was an absolute gem of a Bed and Breakfast. We booked last minute and Ruth and Stuart were amazingly accommodating. They provided us with a large, extremely clean and beautifully decorated room for three adults. We was very comfortable, quiet and lovely. The whole Bed and Breakfast home is tastefully, musically themed. Ask Stuart why. Very exciting! We had an amazing visit. They provided us with a full Irish breakfast and more. We enjoyed it very much. Ruth cooked and Stuart served. They were both so very kind and gracious. There is even a castle to visit right across the road. Their suggestion of a restaurant for dinner in nearby Clifden did not disappoint. So yummy. Would absolutely recommend and would return on our next visit. My Mom and I are from Canada and we were visiting my son who lives about three hours east of Clifden. We were on a road trip when we came upon this treasure of place.
