"Wow, wonderful setting, beautiful quaint hotel nestled just outside the town of Cellbridge. Great for a relaxing getaway. Only downer was the lack of pool and other amenities. Other than that it is perfect for recharging the batteries."
"I haven't stayed here but it is a great place for a meal. I was here with a large group and we were catered for in the Schackelton Mill room. The location is outstanding with the water pouring over the weir just outside the window. The food is top notch even for a big group and you won't be disappointed. The grounds are very tastefully done and worth a visit alone. Staff are friendly and helpful."
"Beautiful setting but the food was very disappointing. Two choices for vegetarians one was pasta with mushrooms the other oxtail risotto without the oxtail. Turned out this was mushroom risotto (mushrooms were not mentioned on the menu). As our guest did not like mushrooms, she had to pick them all out! The only nicely cooked item was the amuse bouche!"
"Was here for a family wedding. We were housed in a beautiful 2 bed apartment with another bed setup downstairs. The kids loved it and it was very reasonable for two nights. The food was top class. Breakfast every morning was an event and the wedding meal was perfect. Even the mini burgers, fish and chips later on were tastefully presented and tasted delicious. The buildings are beautiful to walk around and my wife rated the spa very highly. All in all, a top class place."
"Very elegant place for a rustic experience. Riht in the heart of nature, with a canal beside it. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Always in huge demand for Weddings or Corporate Day outings. Facilities, services and food are excellent. Nothing to complain."
