Welcome to Derek Molloy Butchers Limited, a second generation family business located at 27 Abbey Street, Ennis. For over fifty years, we have been delivering premium quality fully-traceable local Irish meat to our valued customers.

Founded by Brendan Molloy in 1962, our original shop, B. Molloy, Victualler, has been a staple in the community. Brendan built his business on the principles of honesty, integrity, quality, and great service. He was passionate about farming and even reared much of the beef and lamb he sold. Quality was so important to him that he built his own abattoir on his home farm.

In 1995, Brendan's son Derek took over the family business. Derek, who has over 25 years of experience in the meat industry, shares his father's passion for butchering, farming, and family. He continues to farm and produces high-quality beef and lamb using the values, knowledge, and expertise passed down from his father. Every day, Derek and his team employ traditional craft methods to source, rear, slaughter, cut, and prepare meat cuts, ensuring consistency in quality and delivering beef and lamb with a far superior flavor and taste.

In 2005, Derek and his wife Olivia opened a second state-of-the-art butcher shop at Roslevan Shopping Centre, Tulla Road, Ennis. This larger store has allowed us to grow and better serve the local people of Co. Clare who can now access our business more conveniently.
