Reviews of Clare Glens Waterfall
"Beautiful part of the country. Enjoyed the shorter walk with family on a Sunday evening. I wouldn't describe it as safe fir small kids. It's rugged and real and very natural. Sometimes making these places too safe can take away from the natural beauty."
"Incredible natural beauty. I went here twice, once with kids, and once without. It was extremely stressful with smaller kids because there are parts where the path is pretty high up and it drops into the river. It gets very muddy and slippery at certain sections. No room for little mistakes. I could appreciate it more when I did not have to think about other people's safety. It was unforgettable, highly recommended."
"Beautiful and mildly challenging hike along absolutely gorgeous river views. Totally stunning. And we only did a few hundred meters because it was wet and we had a 2 year old. Definitely worth a visit."
"There is a lot here to keep your interest. There are 2 loop walks - 1 with a 45 min walk and another taking about 1hr 30 mins. Both are nice forest walks with river and waterfalls. Some parts had walkways. Some parts were a bit slippery when wet and are not for the infirm. I would recommend for families and single walkers. There is easy parking here with toilets and a playground for the young."
"We used to swim here many years ago. The water used to be crystal clear and freezing cold on a hot summers day. Not sure about the quality of the water today and I haven't seen anyone swimming there any more. There is a safe swimming spot but other areas aren't safe. There is a children's play area and beautiful walks with a bit of agility required."
