"I went with a friend to an introductory day at the institute. I was quite put off that a longstanding school with a 4 year, €25,000 program had such a shabby looking building in desperate need of renovating. It’s basically an old house converted into a school: one bathroom, tiny kitchen, old carpet, curtains and cushions. Their “introductory day” cost €80, which was absolutely absurd given that they are trying to sell their program and 75% of what was shared was on their website. Normally introductory days are free in the hope that more people will attend and more will sign up for the program. Obviously Tracht missed this marketing technique and I was not surprised to see only 5 people show up. I did not pay for the day, because I showed up with a friend and no one asked me to pay. Now I’m being hounded to pay €80 for a very disappointing day, where I basically got pitched about a program and psychoanalyzed by a pompous male instructor. Who actually insulted me as an American the first 5 minutes of meeting him. The instructors were so disorganized and off schedule that we never got to the partner experiential bodywork that was promised. I still have no idea what half of this program is about. What we did see was one very skilled male instructor showcase his therapy skills by psychoanalyzing everyone in the room. It was like watching a showman, weaving his tricks throughout a crowd, mesmerizing everyone with his magic. But it left me feeling violated and upset. Like this icky old man was pulling one over all these young women. The whole thing was strange, from the building, to the instructors, to the rude woman on the phone hounding me for money, not interested in hearing my feedback on the day. When I refused to pay, their resolution was they were going to hound my friend. If I had paid, I would have asked for a refund… but seeing how they have handled this situation, I can guess what the outcome would be. I am actually shocked that they call themselves a professional program and they have been running for so long. Just a few tips for Tracht: -Intro days should be free -Try to stick to the schedule -Deliver on what is promised -Ask permission before you psychoanalyze everyone in the group, especially if that was not on the schedule -Renovate your school -Customer Services training, if someone has negative feedback, listen, empathize, apologize, and find a resolution."
