"We were nearby and decided to stop here for a drink since it had such great ratings. We walked in and the bar area was completely full so we walked into the next room and found a table. The waitress came up and took our drink order. A few minutes later, another waiter came up and asked what we would like, we told him that we already put in our drink order. He asked if we were getting food and we said no, we were just in for a drink. He was very rude with us and told us that we would half to move to the bar if we wouldn’t order food (still no tables so.) There were no signs saying that you couldn’t sit there for only drinks and no one even talked to us when we walked in. After this happened, he started putting “reserved table” signs on all the other tables, I’m assuming so no one else would “bother him” like we did."
"Food is great and the Whiskey choices are second to none in Galway, maybe all of Ireland. I ordered their Sonny Malloy's Redbreast 19 y/o. It was amazing! So smooth and almost melts in your mouth. The glass it was served in had a nice chip in it on one side of the rim. We told our server about it because I didn't want them to think I chipped it. It was a very nice Sonny Malloy RB 16 y/o glass. I said no worries at all about the glass "I'll just drink from the other side". I'm low maintenance and don't like to cause a fuss. Our server insisted on getting another glass and I told her don't worry about it. She came back with another pour of the SM 19 free of charge!! I told her she shouldn't have but she insisted. I was blown away by their service and kindness. I can't say enough kind words about this establishment. Top notch!!!"
"This pub is really something. It manages to combine a sports bar with a very cozy traditional pub. They are an award winning Irish Wiskey Bar so take this as your sign to order a shot of Jameson Black Barrel ;). They are connected to the Front Door Pub in the back, where you can get some food, as well."
"Loved this place. They have a fabulous team there and their customer service is top notch. The food is great with generous portion sizes. Highly recommend."
