"I purchased my renewal policy on the 13th March 2023. Aviva removed a full comprehensive years fee from my bank on the 14th, a day later. I am driving with no renewed policy disc on my windscreen since the end of March. It's now the 12th of April and I still have received no disc in the post. Online documents are empty so there's nothing to print from account. I have asked twice for my disc to be sent in the post. Please send out people's renewed discs that are fully paid for WELL IN ADVANCE of the old one going out of date. With insurance fee increasing every year even though I've had no accidents, and no rebate given during pandemic when people couldn't drive their cars unlike other insurance companies who gave something back to their customers, I will never buy from Aviva again, not will any of my family."

"Appalling. My comprehensive car insurance policy with Aviva began on 29 August 2022 and I am still awaiting my disc and cert despite having paid in full and provided no claims discount certificate since 22 August. I have registered with MyAviva and requested the disc and cert but given the fact that one reviewer here appears to have been waiting a month for his documents I am not rating my chances very highly. Over the years I have been with many different insurance companies, including Aviva, and have never had to request disc and cert. It was always sent to me in a timely fashion, no problems. No point in phoning the Galway call center because I cannot get a reply. I live only ten minutes away from the place and when I called in to try to simply get a bit of guidance the door was slammed in my face. Literally . All I want is my disc and cert, the same disc and cert that I have paid for."

"Can’t knock them as they were good but as all insurance companies prices shot up. What made me switch was I received my renewal quote and phoned up to question why my premium went up 10% for no apparent reason. I was talking with the friendly girl on the phone and went over everything and she came back with a quote €30 higher again. So another company was nearly €70 cheaper so I hitched up my wagon and wandered down the trail thinking about the three good years Aviva and I had together. Good cover, good staff but it’s all about the money these days."

"I have a very bad experience with this company. Driver insured with Aviva crashed into my car. I was hoping for a professional approach getting me sorted quick as my car was damaged and could not be driven on the road. I was completely ignored, nobody cared I had no car to commute to work (30Km each way) no courtesy car offered when they eventually came back after 2 weeks they said the car is not worth to be fixed by lowering their estimated value by a half! I am not giving up still fighting for justice. Avoid them! It is not an insurance company but a money racket !!"

"It is crazy how you will not insure a full license driver on their own first policy! I have been a named driver for nearly three years with Aviva, I have used the driving school prior to passing my test, yet you want me to pay for more lessons and doing a driving assessment to be able to get my own policy as a full licensed driver! No loyalty to their customers, I spent a lot of money during the past three years as a named driving and on the driving school. Absolute madness"
