Danny's Taxi Athlone

"On a recent short break in athlone we booked danny to meet us (myself, my elderly mother, and my elderly aunt) at the train station to take us to our hotel. Danny was there on time, he helped us with bags, was so patient with my mum who is disabled, and agreed to return to meet the next train to pick up my aunt who ended up travelling on a different train. He was so full of chat and good humour, and was so patient we ended up booking him every day of our trip to take us to and from the shops. I cannot find a bad word to say about this man and his service, he's a lovely bloke, he's reliable, patient, and a credit to his profession. We'll be back to athlone and we'll be booking danny next time round as well. His car was also immaculately clean. Thanks danny, you made the trip so easy for us all. Great job. Anne m."

"I used this taxi company last week, Monday the 25th. My sister and I got a taxi into the Prince of Wales, the taxi driver was so friendly. We called this taxi again going home , we said we were at Golden Island. He picked us up at the Zebra crossing and dropped us home. He was pure friendly. Rang a taxi today Fri 29th, this evening. Was outside Golden Island, said we'd meet him there and he was driving a black skoda. We waited a few minutes and was walking towards the trees at the taxi rank outside Golden Island to kill time. The taxi driver arrived and started giving out straight away from the window, before we even got in, accusing us of having "no loyalty, us young people " and went into a tangent for the duration of the journey about us ringing taxis and not showing up and young people having no loyalty like his age group was taught. We saw the car and had walked towards him, obviously not ditching him, we tryed explaining this to him for him to reply "Ye should be politicians ".He then asked us where we were from and we said Galway, he said where in Galway and we said the countryside. He persisted to ask us where in the countryside and was being short with us. It ruined our night and was a really unpleasant end to a lovely evening. I use taxis alot around town and have never come across this behaviour. No need for it, will take business elsewhere, sorry to say."
