My table and chairs came sooner than I expected, I was expecting long delays due to Covid but I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be back."

"I purchased 3 bed frames and 1 mattress on 12/7 and ask them to deliver these between 23-25 July (wasn't told one of the bed frames wasn't in stock) I rang on Tue 22/7 to find out what day they might be coming and was told I'd have it this week and they'd ring me back (no call). I rang again on 24th (thurs) to find out what time delivery was on Friday and was asked by Shane could they deliver the following week or week after but that didn't suit as I was off work and had plans and when I said I couldn't wait Shane told me I would have it tomorrow. I rang the following morning and was told they don't deliver to my area on Fridays and was asked who told me otherwise (zero communication) At this stage I wanted to cancel so they said they would get the order out to me that day (had specified no later than 12.30 as was working at 2) and Deirdre told me between 12-12.30. The order came at 2 so I was well late for work and on top of that they delivered the wrong mattress. The following day (sat) I went into the store to make them aware of this and Sharon told me they must have picked up the wrong mattress yet the following wed (29th) Deirdre told me they sent me out a better mattress to make up for everything??? I find this very strange but either way I couldn't sleep on this "better mattress". If I had bought a sofa would they have sent me a different one to make up for the inconvenience? The mind boggles! The one I picked was for me the most comfortable, something I said to one of the staff members when buying (sharon) who also told me she'd ring me with a date (again no call) So I was told by Sharon I would have my mattress the following Wed (29th) as they were delivering around Galway city the two days previous. I also noticed that same day (sat) at around 4pm that there was only one member of staff on and it's a big shop so this in itself is entirely unacceptable. So Wed morning came and I rang to see if they might finally do good on their promise and Deirdre asked me if Thursday or Friday would be alright? She said Thursday after I pushed her on it so yet again I have to wait.... It didn't suit as I had planned to go away thurs but what hell...why not waste another day waiting for something I should got the previous week. I spoke to Shane Curley about why I was told I'd have the delivery the previous Friday and his reply was that it was in the book (yet they don't deliver to my area on Fridays?) I feel he's only going through the motions like some! Their stuff is pretty good despite all that but their after sales service is non existent like many have said here yet when I was buying I found Sharon very nice and helpful and very accomodating. They'll tell you exactly what you want to hear and make you promises they won't keep just to buy them more time and to get you off their back. I've had dealings with 2 furniture stores in Galways and the experience couldn't have been more different compared to Craughwell and I regret ever setting foot in Curleys. It will certainly be the last time I ever make a purchase in this very understaffed and badly run business."

"Worst place to buy furniture in Galway. Yes it is 1 of the biggest store in Galway and has good selection of furniture for reasonable price but service is terrible. No one take responsibility for your order. Don't expect any assistance after sell. They are good and helpful for selecting the furniture but once you pay the money they don't bother to deliver the promise. Sorry but very bitter experience."

"Great cushion sale there at the moment. Between 3 of us we bought 22 cushions. I also bought a headboard and this is where I had the best customer care service possible , from a lady called Eileen . She was so genuinely helpful and pleasant . It is because of her that I am sending people to Curleys. They are lucky to have her."
