Reviews of Garda National Immigration Bureau
"Horrific. Unhelpful and Inhumane. I understand there are t listening and explaining something shouldn't make you eyeroll so hard you can see your skull. The law is not accessible to civilians, then help understand it. I wish i didn't have to go back there but now im on a back and forth as im rich to waste so much in transport. Kill me already, it be easier than dealing with this people. Dont bother calling either or emailing. Nightmare fuel"
"When I went during the Covid times they were all very helpful, kind and everything went well. Now, it needs an active phone number to reach out to. The one posted doesn't work, and the email response I received is a long, confusing, rambling with misspelled words and no well thought out direction or structure to help enquirers. :/"
"I have been back and forth quite a bit to the GNIB and I have got to say that I would really expect a lot more. The staff and Gardi are very polite and do their job but the system needs an overhaul. Up until 3 weeks ago, the office was located in the middle of nowhere. You cannot book an appointment and it's first come first service. Therefore, if you need to be seen before 830, you are going to want to be there a full 40 mins ahead of the opening time (730). Thank God you can wait inside the station now, at the old facility you had to wait out in the rain. If you come during peak student season, like start of semester, you are going to find it extremely difficult to get seen if you're not a student. On top of all this, I was getting my eu partner rights recognize with the office and a fare warning to all. The letter you get from the naturalisation office says you need a few things but the GNIB need more things, such as proof of address (no, your rental agreement doesn't count) and p60s or the last three months payslips."
"It's difficult to identify in the first place. Google maps shows this place at the end of the road but it's just beside the gym. When you go down the road there is an immigration board on the right hand side and a door next to it, Push this door to get inside. From outside it looks like a glass wall but it's a door. See the picture. It's nice and easy. No appointment required. Service is very fast and people are nice."
