"If you are considering going to Kearneys as part of the bike-to-work scheme, don't bother. They don't want your business! The sales guy was whinging and moaning about the 10% fee associated with the scheme. Not only that, he seems to be quite socially-retarded, along with having the most arrogant attitude. The old codger must have rubbed off on him! I went to Altitude Cycles (dealt with them over the phone). Real professionals and lovely to deal with...and way better value. Kearneys is "special" but for all the wrong reasons. Avoid! Just to add, based on the response below from the owner. I had no problem at all with Kearneys not accepting the voucher, it was how they dealt with it, their absolute lack of customer-facing skills. I had already been to Westside cycles (who do accept the voucher by the way, and are lovely to deal with, but simply did not have what I was looking for). Kearneys receive negative review after negative review and still think they are not doing anything wrong. That's arrogance! :)"
"Brought my son's 2 bikes for a service...working great and not over priced! Staff friendly and helpful."
"Went to this place years ago and had a very bad experience there. I asked for a simple cleaning of my disk brakes as i put oil on them previously which i shouldn't have and been charged 100 euros for that. Felt robbed off and asking another shop for opinion they told me that i should only have been charged 30 max. Now at the time i used a voucher my wife got for my birthday so i went ahead with the cleaning as it was not my money but then got a bitter taste. Bottom line, i don't recommend at all this place. They are not very welcoming and overcharge people thinking they are the only bike shop around. I won't go back there ever and you shouldn't either."
"I hate leaving negative reviews but this was awful considering I've spent thousands on buying bikes in there. I always recommend his shop for giants but I got an e bike online and had puncture , he refused to repair or help or replace and i offered any money.i couldn't cycle home 10 km so had walk to another non Irish shop who did help. Ive never been so upset and disgusted by customer service or even treated like that after years of loyalty. Not anymore I will also be contacting giant. And no longer recommending Kearney. Stay away. :( Edit per reply: giant are made in China. Refusing other bikes is fine not customers who have bought lots over the years."
"Never wrote a review before but staff was very rude and difficult to approach, can see from previous reviews that other people have had problems with this older gentleman. (Edit in response to reply: Brought bike to another bike shop after the visit and was shown that there was actually a break in the frame, which was the major reason for the issues, and it would of been dangerous to continue to cycle on it (as apposed to the condescending reply of that gentleman to simply oil the chain). In hindsight now that response was not only unpleasant but actually potentially dangerous had I decided to just keen cycling on the bike. I also believe the nature of the reply disparaging the quality of a bike which is by no means excessively old or rusty speaks further to the character and values of this shop.)"
