"We stopped here on our honeymoon a few months back and were so happy to stumble into this shop. Anne was a delight to chat with and was much more helpful than one would expect in a busy shop. We ended up ordering a custom sweater, which turned out beautifully, and the process was exceedingly easy. I wish there were more shop owners who took as much pride in their businesses."
"Loved the shop, as soon as I walked through the doors. Nice wool items here that might not be found in other stores in Galway. Historic memorbilla of John Wayne was a real treat, including the photos on the wall of: The Quiet Man, which stared Irish beauty, Marureen O'Hare and the Duke."
"This store has a fantastic selection of sweaters and yarn! The owner Ann is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about her products and knitting. The store carries hand knit sweaters with name of person who made them. They are much higher quality and sturdier than any of the machine made items you'll see around in other stores. There are also machine made sweaters for a lower price that are still good quality. She also has a great selection of hand woven scarves/throws that are gorgeous works of art. Ann spent a lot of time teaching me about the different yarns, finding me ones from the same lot for consistent color, and also knows her suppliers very well and speaks very fondly of them and their own family business. Supporting this store is also supporting other craftsmen/women! This aran sweater store is worth visiting and supporting."
"Absolutely beautiful pieces throughout the shop. Each piece has a story and a history from the person who made it. Women working there clearly love what they do, love the traditions and are proud of it. Both were friendly and helpful throughout my interactions, would recommend stopping in to anyone."
"My favorite shop in all of Galway. The owner, Ann, was so lovely to us and shared stories about her connections to the craftspeople who supply her shop. She had some unique items that we didn't see anywhere else in Galway. I highly recommend paying them a visit if you're in Galway"
