"I’ve been visiting Blow at the Intercontinental for some time (years) However my last few appointments have been extremely disappointing. My final straw was 18th May. The stylist had absolutely no idea about washing a client’s hair. It’s probably not her fault if she’s not adequately trained but when someone is paying €40 for a wash and blow dry you expect the best. I will not be returning. Therese Feeley"
"I read the previous review and I didn't want to go to this salon but I had to have a blow dry done at short notice. It was the only place where I got an appointment but I'm happy that I went there, particularly I was happy with Mika who took care of me. I came out in good mood and great hair day. I would book there again but asking for Mika."
"If based on my most recent visit it would be a lower score to be honest but I did have a really good experience here previously. It was my Christmas party last night and I went to get a curly blow dry. Welcoming staff were friendly. The person who washed me hair was friendly then another staff member comes to “help” I found her quite rude- she told me my hair is too straight for a curly blow dry???! Strange as I literally got a beautiful curly blow dry from there and many other salons before- but I went ahead with GHD curls as I always take advice of experts. She was v rough with the brush her corworker was gentle- it was really obvious the difference with two of them working on me at same time. This generally really changed my mood from looking forward to a night out to being quite annoyed and I wasn’t happy with the curls either- I much prefer curly blow dry curls on my hair. There was no chat from either of them- fine I prefer a bit of a chat but whatever. In fact they were both distracted talking to some other staff member and checking their phones while I was in the chair. Began to feel a bit like Mean Girls. That’s why no tip- if you know me I always leave a tip. Maybe listen and be friendly to people who are your customers"
"The service I get at Blow from my usual hairdresser (Melisa) and my favourite nail technician, Klaudya, is absolutely outstanding. If it weren't for them both, I would have given this place 1 start only This is due to the fact that I made an appointment on one day for the day after: The following day I was called into a meeting in work, something quite urgent came up and so, as soon as I learned that I couldn't make it to the salon, I let them know. I gave them 6-8 hours of notice. I know it's not ideal and that's why I told them that they could take a percentage of the services fees off my credit card no problem. However, the (very) nasty suprise came when I was asked to pay both services in full aka 90 euro in total for services that I obviously didn't receive. The other salon I tend to go to, Oslo Beauty, I had to do this to as well one day for the same reason, but, since I am a regular, they had the kindness of not charging me at a all but they made me aware that next time a 10-20% would be taken off my card which made sense to me. I appreciated that gesture so much. However, management at Blow was extremely greedy to charge me the full price of the services I had booked, when it was the first time I cancelled (I have been going quite regularly) and when I did so I gave as much notice as possible. I was expecting 20% maybe taken from me, tops 50% but definitely not the whole charge. Shame on them really, I am trying to stay away from Blow as much as possible these days to go to other salons in town that treat customers much more nicely"
"Had a terrible experience at this salon, I will never be back. An inexperienced ‘hairstylist’ washed, cut and blow dried my hair. This resulted in my haircut completely uneven with one side with nearly a fringe and the other side down to my shoulder. I had to go to different salon the following day to fix this. This salon lacks consistency and obviously does not ensure their employees are trained properly"
