"Amazing food and drinks here. Everything on the menu is good. We had the crab claws, the seafood chowder, and the beef burger. Hands down one of the best meal we’ve ever had. The beers, all coming from Limerick, are delicious. The deserts and pastries are amazing as well. The owner and staff are absolutely lovely as well."
"I first went here in 2016 when it was still called The Sea Salt Cafe. Back in 2016 and 2017 I worked in the area and came here at least once a week and it was always amazing. Now 5 years later I’m back in county Clare and of course The Ivy Cottage couldn’t be skipped! Would very highly recommend! The atmosphere is extremely nice, staff is friendly and food is amazing! Absolute staple."
"I loved this place. The atmosphere is super cool, the cottage even more. There is a good choice in the menu, but we were attracted by the two most known dishes in the area, the chowder and the fish and chips. They were both excellent. I taste here the best fish and chips so far. The chowder was different compared to others I already had somewhere else. It was a little bit less creamy (probably there are no potatoes inside) but there were really big cut of fish. Prices are quite accessible. We really enjoyed our time here."
"I was really excited to try it based on the reviews. Especially the chowder... But I have had much better. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good. I found 3 fish bones and then didn't want to finish it (I know it happens! It's fish!) The langustine appetizer was good. The most awesome thing was the fresh cod and chips... The place itself is super hip and cool, inside and the garden! The people were beyond friendly and helpful!"
"Awesome place to hang and chill out with your loved ones or friends. Place is cozy and so does their food too. We ordered a vegan burger and it was amazing. However, the chips had some flavour of fish. May be it was dried in the same oil as other meat based products. Not sure what was the reason !! This could be improved as people specifically ordered a vegan diet."
