"Stayed for 1 night, the lights in bathroom have a timer (sensor based) on them so when you walk out they automatically turn off, was in the dunny when they turned off... Was kinda scary till I figured out what happened lol The rooms didn't have any lockers in them and you really get what you pay for here"
"The worst and strangest hostel I have ever stayed in. I was using the women's bathroom in the early hours of the morning and when I came out, there was two security men on either side of the door. They didn't even acknowledge me and it was quite startling. There was definitely no commotion to attend to."
"Beds unstable and uncomfortable. Rooms poky and stuffy, tiny windows, facilities zero. Showers inconvenient and faulty. Bathrooms dirty. Staff uninformative and rude. Breakfast a scrum. Left a day early. Couldn't face another sleepless night in such a horrid place. Location is super."
"I returned to the hostel last night at 10.15 pm and attempted toake a cup of tea and was told by the young man that the kitchen was closed, despite another guest still cooking. I pointed to the notice on the door which said that it closed at 10.30 pm. He immediately tore it down. All other hostels open at 7.30 am to allow people to make an early start. Although the kitchen was supposed to open at 8 am we were all standing outside until 8.13 am. Finally you could do with some sound proofing as noise travels from one room yo the next but after booking I read that in the reviews and expected it Definitely not a great experience and I would mot recommend The Old Mill."
"I had 2 good nights at the Mill and would happily return. Checking in was easy and Niamh was very helpful in providing tips on things to do in Westport. Facilities were good, particularly the kitchen and newly nicely decorated shower and toilet room. The location in the centre of town is ideal for visiting pubs and shops. I'd definitely return when next in Westport."
