"Went for a family celebration meal. Service was completely lacking. Waited half an hour for a coffee in the bar - only two people in front of me but Bar tender was on his own with no support and had to fetch clean glasses and cups himself. He was extremely patient but very under pressure. There were 35 of us for a sit down meal. Choice was adequate and food was nicely done. However the first person to get their food was finished by the time the last person received their food. One girl as waitress. Manager kept popping in to check if everything was ok but did little to help."
"Got my hair done with Sharon in the hotel for a family event. She went out of her way to squeeze me in super early! So pleased with my hair and will definitely be back. I also had make up done by Megan, she is highly skilled and transformed me! While there, I got a buffet breakfast and it was one of the best I've eaten, such a huge selection and very impressive display- a chef on hand to make omelettes and waffles while you wait. Alison, the food and banqueting manger was so friendly guiding everyone to their seats and making sure they were well looked after I also met Siobhan on reception who is a great asset to the Brandon House Team!"
"Beautifully situated at a height overlooking the River Barrow, the things that made the Brandon House Hotel stand out were how comfortable it was, the variety and quality of the food available but more than else it was the attention to detail and the little touches, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Anita at reception gave us a warm welcome on arrival. We really enjoyed breakfast. As well as a cooked breakfast there was delicious homemade bread, home made marmalade, overnight oats and smoothies. That certainly set us up for exploring the surrounding area during the day. Thanks to Alison who gave us a friendly welcome each morning. On our first evening we ate in the Library Bar. There was a wide variety of offerings on the menu and we really enjoyed the bangers and mash, and steak sandwich. Dessert too was very tasty. For a change the second night we ate in the Gallery Restaurant, themed with paintings by Irish artists. The display of paintings and list of Irish painters on the walls was a great talking point and we found ourselves googling several of the names and learning more about Irish art. There was a friendly and attentive service as always, thanks to Ellie and Aidan. Food was delicious. I would recommend the hake. My partner enjoyed the steak. Again the desserts were very tasty and beautifully presented. There was excellent value for money. The use of tech, whether being able to check in, in advance or receive a confirmation of evening meal bookings by emails was another bonus. And there was ample parking in the hotel grounds. Thanks to all for a very lovely weekend. We plan to return."
"A really lovely hotel. The rooms were a good size and modern. The bar was lively with good live music. The food was very nice. The staff were amazing and couldnt have done more which really made the weekend, they really looked after us all weekend (9 adults and 5 kids)."
"Olga at reception made our trip simply super. She is so organised, informative, pleasant. I believe if every business had a customer service like the one provided by Olga business would do much better. Thank you Olga for a great time"
