Reviews of Clondanagh Cottage
"My husband, 3 adult daughters and I stayed in Clondanagh at the beginning of our Irish adventure. The trip was to celebrate my 3rd daughters graduation from college and my 60th birthday. Sadly during our first evening , while enjoying dinner and listening to local musicians at Peppers Pub (including Dorothy Minogue-Landers husband and son) we received the news that my husband's brother had suddenly died. This was a crushing blow to us because he had lived just a few miles away from us and was literally my husbands best friend. With a very sad hearts we now had to make plans to return to the US. Realizing that we had little time left to experience her corner of Ireland, Dorothy immediately went to work arranging our tour. We planned to return to Dublin in 2 days to fly home, so she made sure those days were meaningful. Dorothy's warmth and compassion helped us to navigate a very difficult time and we are eternally thankful to her. Dorothy's B&B was very comfortable and her breakfast was delicious. The property was beautiful and Dorothy's warmth and humor was terrific -Joanne"
"Wonderful host. Spent two very relaxing days. Really highly recommended. Host was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful area."
"Great place to stay, lovely people, top class service. Fishing, kayaking, feeding animals and day was over at hot tub"
"Everthing was perfect, very nice and friendly hosts, we loved to stay there and will return this year (2015)! Fishing for pike was excellent, not only in the lake just vis ร vis from the cottage. Dorothy knows some special lakes, were no one else is fishing, except her guests. Accomodation was very good, breakfast was brilliant - only the blnck and white pudding is perhaps not ment for german stomachs..."
"Dorothy & Michael were the quintessential Irish hosts with charm & hospitality to spare. Our family of four (children 6 & 4) delighted in the surroundings with the donkeys, alpacas ("Thing 1 & Thing 2"), chickens, horses, "Sheila" & "Guinness" the dogs & "Steve" the cat. From our early morning walks to gathering fresh eggs from the hen house; from fishing at the lake to feeding the dozen donkeys - it was a textbook country stay - capped off with a live command performance by the extremely multi-instrumentally talented musical family. A treat indeed. It provided the most wonderful rural experience that I know the children will remember their whole lives and we will cherish forever. However, in the event my memory starts to fade in the years ahead we are already planning to visit again in future to top-up the memory bank just for safe keeping. You'll relax & recharge. Breathe in the air & enjoy the moments. Life is short. The experience is bliss."
