Old Ground Hotel Ennis

"We stayed in March as a large family group. The hotel was excellent. Rooms were spacious and the fridge and coffee machine added to our comfort The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice . The dinner in the charming dining room was top class and the standard of food and service was exceptional. Paulina and the other young girl were very attentive and ensured that we were looked after well. The lounge areas with comfortable couches and seating accommodated our entire group so well. We were able to relax there . It was evident that it is a priority for management that guests are treated well as every member of staff were friendly ,courteous and mannerly. We definately will return."

"Lovely hotel in the heart of historic downtown Ennis. Comfortable and spacious rooms were clean and pleasantly appointed. Staff promptly accommodated our needs and answered our questions. Food (breakfasts and pub dinners) was very good. Free parking was a plus! Highly recommend this hotel."

"Absolutely brilliant hotel, was at a lovely wedding. It was ideal, the service was had there so all in one place. Staff were brilliant, checked in with great ease, roommate lovely updated bathrooms and nicely appointed spacious room. The wedding meal was restaurant quality as well as being organised. One guest was vegan and had their own menu with lovely choices. Breakfast was another delight, with a great menu and service. Couldn't have been nicer."

"I had the most perfect 2 night stay here and I wish I could give 10 stars! The room was absolutely perfect, with a lovely big bathroom and a beautiful bay window overlooking the garden. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I hated having to leave it. More than this, every single member of the staff were extremely friendly and attentive and made me feel so welcome. The resident cat, OG, makes they place even homier and I really love how well taken care of she is! Breakfast was also fabulous! They managed to turn poached eggs into a delightful taste experience! I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat!"

"We are just back from an overnight stay in the beautiful luxurious Old Grounds Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularily Lydia Lynch. Her care and thoughtfulness stood out as we waited for a table in the restaurant. She was polite and professional and an asset to any establishment. We will certainly be back again."
