"I didn't even complete the check-in process here. The host was aware I was having a very personal and heated discussion with a family member/travel companion. During this conversation, the host continued to interject and harass me about completing check-in for my "safety", and demanded that I shouldn't look for accommodations outside of his small home because everywhere else was fully booked (I got a room at the second place I called). He would not give me five minutes of peace to talk to my family member to resolve our issues. After multiple attempts to ask for space and privacy, including offering the host $100 for the room I would not be using, I finally had to raise my voice at him. At this point he stormed off and slammed the door. I finished my conversation and promptly left the property without any apology from the host. The lady host was lovely though."
"How anyone could give this place a 1 star review is beyond me, the hotel is clean and immaculate, the owners go out of their way to make you welcome and feel relaxed. Nothing is too much trouble for them, the breakfast is lovely and fresh and really sets you up for the day. The rooms are clean and well organised, the staff work really hard to make your stay a memorable one. The internal decor is amazing. The grounds are well maintained and are lovely to sit in and watch the scenery. I am definitely coming back."

"A true Irish bed & breakfast experience if that's what you're looking for. Older farmhouse-type traditional rooms and accommodations. The hosts are extremely welcoming and we really enjoyed their company. The food & service was excellent, and for us, the location was great also... just about 20 minutes to Adare, which is where we wanted to go. Great place to stay!"
