"Lovely views on the way up as well on the way down, I love walking on this path, the first bit is pretty steep but afterwards it's leveling out towards lake, from that you can progress on Carrauntoohil. Views are stunning and anyone interested in hiking or climbing should definitely go here. The area and views won't disappoint. I highly recommend this place"
"Making my dreams into my reality.. Proper hiking boots a must.. as this hike /climb is extremely rocky in parts..ill be back to kerry to explore /hike more of caruntoohil.."
"Such an incredible hike. It's steep from the very start and will only properly level off once you get to the ridge line. Unfortunately the winds were too strong so it was only one peak and back down on this occasion."
"A great day out the views and scenery is outstanding on a clear day. Lunch at the top of Ireland's highest mountain was a experience worth the effort."
"Amazing scenery on the horseshoe walk around Carrauntoohil, Caher etc. takes about 6+ hours to walk the whole ridge from the car park with a stop for lunch. Plenty of B&Bs close by but Killarney which was about 20 mins drive away was a great and lively place to stay the night before."
