Reviews of Parking Place Stone Circle
"This must've been a beautiful walk but it looks like the trees are dying or are almost dead"
"Wonderful place to stay and walk the forest. Its possible to sleep over, but the land owner may come and check on you. Make sure to have some fresh salmon ready. He loves salmon. Friendly fellow. As Jonathan said, the map is kinda incorrect. To get to the standing stones, either: Start as if following the map. You will enter the forest, turn right, and then the road starts to disappear. Worry not for there is a big car road on your right and also front, just dont go too far left and you will be fine. As soon as you hit either of the roads, just follow it upwards, keeping to your left. As soon as you come out of the forest at the start of sheep lands, turn right. Two Cromlechs in front of you. OR just take the road as if you wanted to go civilised way, follow Jonathans instructions."
"Lovely place bring your hiking gear"
"The map is a lie. The yellow dotted route to the stone circle doesn't exist. Follow the red dotted route for the Doorus loop into the woods and turn left at a T junction. This is a road that actually takes you to the stone circle. Following the yellow dots will get you lost."
"Nice walk thru the woods which opens out on the hill. If you go in the later afternoon be prepared for biting insects"
