Reviews of Parking - Red Strand Beach
"This is a small relatively flat parking area in front of the beach with parking for about 12 cars with NO dedicated motorhome parking spaces. We parked parallel to the wall which was perfect for a few nights. Pros: Free parking. Swimming (no lifeguard). Fishing. Toilet block. Fresh water tap. Cons: No shade. Jelly fish. The beach is sandy and the water has a gradual depth for a long way out, perfect for kids or nervous swimmers. There are some jelly fish in the water and on the beach. Also great for kayak and paddle boarding. The locals use the beach for swimming and walking the dog and there is always a few cars around. The only caveat is not all owners pick up the dog poo so be careful when you pick a spot to sunbath. At weekends especially if it's sunny, it gets extremely busy with cars parked on the road both sides of the beach making the road single lane. There is a clean toilet block with bins closed at 8pm each night. We spent 3 very quiet nights here. Bugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..) None as there was a constant sea breeze."
