"Beach is close to Ringaskiddy and although there is not much sand, there is a lot of space and places to sit and walk around Haulbowline area. My niece and nephew had fun to look at the shells and the crabs that we found on the beach."
"Nice small stoney beach. Nice for a small walk or a little dip. With the 2 benches also a nice spot for a coffee. Small coffee trailer there at tubes as well."
"Nice get away from the city place, but could be very busy, great walks around islands too."
"Ringaskiddy Beach is a nice little place for a stroll and a relaxing wade in the sea. At high tide and dreary weather it can be a bit grim and rocky, but a nice day and low tide changes the place completely. The upper beach is very rocky, but as the tide goes out it reveals a very nice sandy beach and a shallow, warm wading and swimming area. I was surprised recently at how nice it really was on a sunny day at low tide. The water remains shallow for a very long distance, so there was plenty of room for children to play in the water, and people were learning to stand-up paddle board. You can look north to Cobh, or straight across the harbour to Spike Island. There were plenty of boats to watch, from massive freighters to small sailboats. I find that the beach tends not to be crowded, as parking is very limited. There are no food or toilet amenities on premises, and only about 8 parking spaces in the lot. Some people park on the road, but it is a very busy road. There is a small Spar shop on the roundabout in Shanbally where you can pick up sandwiches, snacks, and drinks on your drive to the beach."
"Small free car park overlooking a lovely pebble beach."
