"We Went for an evening meal here over the weekend while travelling in the area in our motorhome. The pub is located just a short 5 minute walk away from the public parking area down at the beach. The Bar / Restaurant is very popular with Motorhome Enthusiasts, Holiday Makers who have holiday homes or static mobile homes in the area as well as the local population. It was so busy when we called that we had to wait over an hour to get to order a meal on ordering we were served within 15 minutes and yes Folks it was worth the wait we enjoyed a few drinks while we waited and you can choose to either sit inside or outside. We had the fish meal which came with mixed salad and homemade chips no frozen rubbish served here. The fish fillets were quiet big and simply delicious no bones what so ever to be found, a lovely light golden batter encased the fish portions and enhanced the flavour to perfection. Friendly owners and staff were run off their feet serving drinks and meals to the waiting customers none of whom seemed to mind the long wait to be served a meal. The building is of an old fashioned style decor as you would like to find in a marine setting and lends itself to the atmosphere that was bouncing off the walls. Plenty parking is available for customers and Motorhomes / Campervans are welcome to stay overnight if using the Bar / Restaurant Facilities. We will definitely be going back here again anytime that we are in Beautiful West Cork Touring In Our Motorhome. Well worth a call you won't be disappointed even if they are run off their feet."
