"I watched a waitress brush crumbs from the tray of a baby's chair and put it away. No washing spraying or sanitising. Service was almost non existent even though it wasnt even busy. Several customers walked out because they were left waiting for too long. The meal, when it finally arrived.was below average. But edible.A waitress actually slipped on some that was left on the floor. She cleaned l it up eventually. I watched as one customer actually swept up the floor where she was sitting so she could eat comfortably.i spoke to some customers that I knew as I was leaving and they said the whole experience was one they wouldn't be repeating. Neither will I."

"I had lunch here recently. My food was perfect. It was really delicious.Hats off to Mark the chef. Staff were attentive and so helpful. I'm glad I returned and had a pleasant experience."

"Upon arrival, my wife and I were received pleasantly however, upon proceeding towards our reserved table, it appeared that there was some confusion between the staff as to where we were going to sit. One staff member said "they can sit there", pointing to a cubicle. We noticed that the table was dirty and we musty assume that, because of this, it was not sanitised prior to us taking our seat. We had to ask for the table to be cleaned. The waitress did immediately wipe the table for us. We put in our drinks order but it never arrived. 15 minutes later, I approached the bar and advised that we would like our drinks. The waitress arranged them accordingly. We placed our food order and noticed that the tables were close to each other in the outdoor setting and would not have qualified as socially distanced. The place was a bit over-crowded and this did concern us from a hygiene perspective. Our food arrived in good time and it was good. The presentation was good and the food tasted fine. During our time there, we noticed a few of the waitresses were permanently serving tables, talking over food and communicating to customers with their face-masks below their chins. After our food, we ordered our bill which had to be amended twice because we were charged for items that we did not order and therefore did not consume. This was very annoying. We had decided to order the bill and leave because we were not satisfied with the poor attitude towards hygiene and the poor attitude towards the Covid-19 risks. As a result, we felt at risk. This was disappointing because the evening was intended as a relaxed date night but instead turned out to be a rushed dinner because we were not comfortable staying. We would not recommend the establishment for primarily the lack of respect for patron health and hygiene where food is being served, gastro pub or not! It really is a shame because the food was good but it appears that profits were placed before public health. 2/5 scored only because the food was good. Unfortunately, the entire experience was ruined because of the concerning items mentioned above."

"Staff was very friendly and polite. The food is lovely great quality. If people are coming here for dinner it can be a bit small so maybe ye might be better off with the 3 course meal. Lunch time is normally a good time if you want a seat. It gets very busy in the late afternoon."
