Reviews of Glengarra Wood Forest Recreational Area
"I just love this place. As you can see from pics"
"Gorgeous area with loads of benches and parking available. There a plenty of trails to pick from. We took a more scenic path up above the river and then followed it back down to the car park. Would gladly go back again. We had our 4 year old with us who absolutely loved it!"
"The nicest walk in the woods one can have! There are so many possible routes you can take, you could be walking for hours. The river is so clean and there are plenty of places you can stop and soak your feet. Beautiful all year round. Plenty of flowers blooming at different times. If you walk further, you can get to the mountains but it is quite a hike. Definitely recommend."
"Wonderful walk here this afternoon. The weather of course made the walk as it was 17°. It was great to see people out walking and enjoying themselves. It was also great to see the kids running and enjoying the wonderful surroundings after such a long hard lockdown."
"This is lovely place with two (not including forest trails) tracks. Only green is shown on official map, but there is also red. Both nicely maintened. Few small waterfalls along the road. Beautiful Rhododendrons through the wood. There is few picnic spots so very nice spot for either families with kids as well. I'll be definitely returning there much often to discover new paths. Crossing stream at the top ot the Green trail was best part of this trip :) Get proper, waterproof shoes/boots!"
