Reviews of Baltimore Beacon
"This place is breathtakingly gorgeous! Went there in March, and as usual during this month, it was wet and extremely windy. The grass is slippy, and going up there is quite steep. Once you're up there, it's all worth it. Gorgeous coastline in this part of Ireland."
"Incredible feeling from such a huge high stone idol! And how was it built? Breathtaking! The view is breathtaking! Relatively easy to climb, but if the weather is rainy you need good shoes, otherwise it will be slippery! The trip to the Beacon is definitely worth it."
"No doubt this is one of the prettiest places in Ireland. The distinct architecture with the oceanic backdrop is unmatched to many monuments that I've been too when discussing beauty. Definitely worth the visit."
"A lovely place, especially in the morning where there are no people. It is a short but steep climb from the parking lot uphill. You can walk from Baltimore or drive all the way up to a fairly small car park. Attractive views, especially in summer when nearby vegetation is in bloom. The climate makes the view over the bay nearby. Of course, it is part of a pasture for cows."
"It's a very scenic drive through Baltimore to get to the beacon. As with many roads in Ireland it is narrow but again the scenery is worth it You climb up the hill for a few minutes to reach the beacon and the views are certainly worth every step. The cliffs are quite high so care is the order of the day. It's a great spot to picnic , just chill and enjoy the sunset."
