Welcome to Splash Sports Watersports Centre, an exciting and recognized amusement park and point of interest located at Castlegregory, Sandy Bay. As a recognized sports center by Kerry County Council, the ISA (Irish Sailing Association), the ISA (Irish Surfing Association), and a proud member of the IAAT (Ireland's Association for Adventure Tourism), we offer an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
Originally known as "Waterworld," we have been providing thrilling watersports activities since 1990. In 2016, we decided to change our name to Splash Sports to eliminate any confusion with the scuba dive center "Waterworld" in the same area. Located on the north side of the Dingle Peninsula, specifically on the beautiful Maharees Peninsula, we enjoy a unique geographical advantage. With our location dividing Tralee Bay and Brandon Bay, we have the perfect setting to offer both thrilling surf experiences in Brandon Bay and calm waters in Tralee Bay (Sandy Bay) for various watersports activities.
We highly recommend booking your visit to Splash Sports Watersports Centre in advance, as availability cannot be guaranteed on the spot. While you can book well in advance, please note that weather conditions are unpredictable, and we cannot control them.
Splash Sports has something for everyone, regardless of age or background. Please note that children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult ( 18) when using our equipment such as the Aquapark, Kayaking, Stand up Paddleboarding, Pedalos, and trampolines. While our staff supervises these activities, direct supervision is not provided. However, our Surf Camps, surf lessons, and Mega club are exceptions as they are directly supervised by trained instructors with a ratio of 8:1.
To ensure your safety and comfort, we provide 5mm winter wetsuits, 5mm booties, and buoyancy aids in various sizes. During the summer months, some may prefer not to wear booties and opt for shorty wetsuits due to the tropical weather. However, please be aware that the heat attracts jellyfish, and the splash off the aquapark can be harsh on the skin. If you prefer to wear your own equipment, we are happy to accommodate as long as it is suitable and meets our standards.
While being able to swim is important, being comfortable in the water is even more crucial. Therefore, all visitors are required to wear a buoyancy aid while participating in our activities. Rest assured, our staff members are fully qualified RLSS Beach lifeguards and First Aid trained to ensure your safety.
Rain is not a problem at Splash Sports as you will be getting wet anyway! However, please note that all activities are weather, sea, and tide dependent. In the interest of safety, Splash Sports reserves the right to cancel or reschedule activities last minute based on safety concerns.
Please be aware that we do not have lockers available to store valuables. We recommend not bringing anything of value or leaving them in your car. However, there are public toilets available in the car park of Sandy Bay.
As we have limited equipment and staff, we cannot guarantee accommodation for visitors who arrive with more people than they initially booked. Safety is our top priority at Splash Sports, and we strive to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

"Really fun experience! We booked the first session of the aquapark and there were a few groups of us but it wasn't too overcrowded. Good value for money and supervising staff were not too strict (we could push each other into the water etc)so it was great craic overall. There wasn't too much interaction with staff but have to say they weren't THE friendliest to deal with but maybe we just caught them all on a bad day. Still had a great time and would go again!"
