Reviews of Foxy John's
"I was smitten with this pub. Maybe a little too much so.? The bartenders were nice and helpful. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. I loved the smell of the fire in the middle room. There's a nice back patio for a smoke. The toilets were surprisingly clean. I love the idea of a hardware store and bar together. I would love to return."
"Foxy John’s is a splendid place to swing in for a pint of Guinness chased by a nip of Red Brest, half hardware store half bar. “You’ll come for a bag on nails, and leave hammered”."
"I had the chance to experience this unique pub a while ago when we stopped in to have some drinks and hear some live music while on our Ireland trip. At the time we were here the place was pretty busy with lots of people. I found it al little hard hard to navigate my way around do to the lighting being kinda dark and for someone living with some visual difficulties.l but enjoyed the experience here."
"Popped in for a pint and was pleasantly surprised by this places character. Very funny to share the bar with the hardware store, but it does indeed do that! Fun environment, good pours, a good selection at the bar (including a couple of local craft brew and a few bourbons). There are multiple separate sections, including an outdoor area with seating. Great spot for a pint in Dingle."
"Truly the crack. One could while away many an hour looking through the trove of hardware bits and pieces on one side of the room, and then turn your back and spend as much time counting the pints of Guinness on the bar or bottles of whiskey behind the bar. True story, an American tourist cane in today to buy black Gorilla tape to fix a broken wing mirror, and an expensive shot of whiskey for good measure. Smells lovely, looks lovely, staff are fab, Guinness is fab. You simply must visit this place if in Dingle."
