"Worth the excursion to see some of Ireland’s ancient past and impressive stone forts. The walls are too high for kids but they can explore the central construction at ground level. Very impressive views from the top though, even if a strong gust of wind would put the fear of God into you!"
"Well worth seeing, very short walk. There is a farmer who will drop a lamb in your hands and expect a tip. Seems odd in Ireland, I've only had this experience in third world countries. Should be more transparent with clear pricing if you want to take a photo. Nice guy of course, like everyone else in Ireland"
"Beautiful ancient fort that has been restored and maintained to its original condition, or something close to it. What’s nice is that you are allowed to climb freely for some great 360 degree views of the area. If using Google Maps I would suggest setting your directions to the car park to make it easier. The fort is a 5 minute walk from there. Also, beware in the car park there may be a man in a truck with a lamb. He is very friendly, but he may put the lamb in your arms without warning and then will ask for 5 euro after you’ve taken a photo with it."
"Truly spectacular ancient monument in a remarkable state of preservation. Approximately a 5 minute walk from the roadside carpark. Care needs to be taken if going up the steps to the rampart as soon are uneven and irregularly spaced. 10/10."
