"We spent a fantastic afternoon learning about local (folk)lore and (at times very much international) history. The tour was all we hoped for and more. Conor is a great storyteller with a wealth of knowledge and he had us hanging on his lips throughout the entirety of the tour. It was 100% worth changing our original plans when we came across this tour. We absolutely recommend it! Thanks, Conor :)"
"We got exactly what we were looking for, an easy hike through the countryside while listening and learning about the local place names, their origin and folklore attached to them. Conor is a wealth of information on local, Regional and national history, has many lovely stories of fact and tales and mysteries. To boot, we had a nice lunch with home made scones, local cheese and local seafood patés, wine and tea and coffee. We will certainly go for one of Conor’s other tours! Thank you Conor!"
"We had an amazing morning and early afternoon with Conor. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of local place-names and how they came into use. The knowledge that we gained puts things that we've seen in other locations into context. And to round it off, the biscuits at the end of the walk were lovely. A fabulous guide."
"This was our second tour with Conor and it was as amazing as the first one (Dawn Pilgrimage and Swim in West Cork). Conor is the perfect storyteller and it is fascinating how many storys and place names he knows. Highly recommended!"
