"This was one of the best and unexpected accommodation experiences of my life. The Atlantic Way Farmhouse B&B is a gem in one of the most beautiful and underrated locations in Ireland. The farmhouse is a cosy sprawling collection of buildings. Everything is spotless from the moment you leave the road. The garden and farmhouse are beautifully kept. The room, guest area and shower were immaculate. It’s a real farmhouse and it feels exactly like that. We thought breakfast might be a problem as I’m a vegetarian and we had only booked the day we arrived. It was not and they provided a full vegetarian breakfast with the option of vegetarian sausages and bacon. The food was excellent...did I mention the homemade bread and scones! There’s wild rabbits playing in an adjacent field and a charming sheep dog to befriend. It is an excellent location for star watching and we saw the persioid meteor shower while we were there. The hosts have excellent tips for exploring the Beara peninsula and a wealth of knowledge on the local area. They are as charming as they are knowledgeable and enhanced what would have already been a memorable stay. I can’t wait to return."
"Friendly welcome, lovely room and excellent home baking. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommended."
"This was a truly authentic experience of Irish hospitality, kindness from the heart and no cliches. The stunning and most peaceful setting as well as warm welcome from Maureen, her husband Donal and daughter Aisling made it a very personal experience. The home made breakfast and, in our view, 4 star room facilities were beyond expectation. It was better than many hotels we have stayed in around the world. We highly recommend a stay here for the best of Irish hospitality as well as access to hidden gems including fishing villages and towns, islands as well as the furthest most Westerly point in Ireland (the sun sets last here!). The views alone from the dining room are uniquely special and worth seeing. We would love to have kept this gem secret and to ourselves but it's too good to keep hidden!"
"Excellent! Thoroughly recommend!!!"
"Beautiful and hospitality place beneath the Caha Mountains. The owner is very nice, the rooms are clean and chic, the Irish breakfast served here in the morning is great. Highly recommended for a family to spend a quiet weekend outside the city."
