Sheep's Head Accommodation

"We recently spent a beautiful week at Tra Ruaim Loft. We enjoyed our time very much. The space is thoughtful and so cute! And although the space is small, it never felt that way - it is very functional and had everything we needed. The traditional design of the cottage was really special. Claire and Finn were super helpful and accommodating. And the location is prime - a short walk to the water, and easy access to nice hikes. Our two year old son loved staying on the farm."

"We recently rented the mason's cottage for a first-time visit to Sheep's Head and had a wonderful time there. The cottage had everything we needed, with plenty of room for the 6 of us. The kitchen is well-stocked and the bathrooms are new and clean, beds are great and the view over the bay toward Mizen Head is amazing both from inside and out on the deck. Access to the Sheeps Head Way trail is at the edge of the property - perfect! Finn and Claire are top-notch hosts and we can't wait to return."

"I have had the pleasure of staying at Masons Cottage twice in the last few years and most recently spent a magical week at Tra Ruaim Loft. The traditional decor was beautiful, the kitchen well appointed and the 2 beds were very comfortable. The deck off the kitchen was large and surrounded by big trees and distant views of Dunmanus Bay. A stroll down the road leads to a picturesque cove and magnificent hiking trails. Our hosts Finn and Claire were so welcoming and helpful in every way. They even provided us with the makings for a hot breakfast. I can't wait to return!"

"We've holidayed at Finn and Claire's superb holiday homes every year since 2018. They are wonderful hosts - friendly, helpful, genuine people. Both properties, The Loft and Masons, are perfectly located, you only have to step outside the front doors and you are on the spectacular Sheep's Head Way. The Loft is perfect for two/three people and has been lovingly restored. It is a home from home with a difference - its balcony affords beautiful views across Dunmanus Bay. This year, friends from France joined us so we stayed in Masons, which was also very comfortable and catered for all our needs - pristine, modern bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, fantastic Wifi and Sky TV, and most importantly, amazing views of the Bay through a large window in the sitting room. In these days of high fuel prices and if you enjoy hiking, once you arrive at either property, you don't need to drive again until you're leaving. However, if you do want a change from hiking, there are lots of places to go including Bantry, Schull, Skibbereen and Glengarriff."

"Just spent a week on the Sheep's Head Peninsula. Just love the peace & tranquility of the area. Stayed in Masons, as we have done at least twice a year for the past 3yrs. The house itself was perfect for our family, very comfortable with all mod cons & the most spectacular view over Dunmanus Bay. Hosts very welcoming & helpful. Will definitely be back."
