"The staff was very cordial and helpful and the general atmosphere was very comfortable. The beds are no too comfortable but also no too uncomfortable. Everything it's quite clean. It's very near all the mains Kilkenny's attractions!"
"After a few nights at a hostel with a higher rating (in Cork) that was disappointing, I was afraid of MacGabhainns. The staff, however, was very warm and welcoming. They explained how everything worked, told us about the city and so forth. When I went out for a run and asked for recommendations, they sent me on an absolutely stunning run, thoroughly enjoyed it. The room (en suite room) was small, yet very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower only had 1 knob (push-on), which started out cold and heated up (slightly too high, for my taste) relatively fast. The hostel as a whole is your typical backpacking hostel: slightly outdated, but very welcoming and cosy. Price/quality ratio was good here, we would visit again!"
"Amazing staff, very accommodating and polite. Room was very comfortable. Not my first time staying here, won't be my last. I can't praise the place enough. It's close to everything and everywhere you'd want to go in Kilkenny, it's very comfortable and offers nothing less than a welcoming and cost atmosphere"

The staff are good but the manager not respect my reservations, I had to sleep in dirty and cold room not ensuite completely different web booking site there has just one toilet and more 7 people's shares. Small and dirty . Please don't go there . Even expensive paid 56euro(promotion) regular price 70€ and they put me in a room cost 44€ really if you want enjoy kilkenny not go there"
