Reviews of Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges
"The lodges are a perfect mountain/forest retreat, and are surprisingly spacious inside with every convenience you could need including washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, double oven, fridge freezer, and even WiFi. Your caretaker/ manager Maggie will ensure you have all you need and is on site for any help. There's a very friendly pub just 9 minutes walk away and the village of Kilfinnane a short ten minutes drive with Centra, takeaway, pubs and petrol station. There are kids play areas dotted around the lodges, and a forest walk just minutes away. The location is certainly a drive away from larger towns or attractions such as Mitchelstown (20 minute drive) Cork City (40 minute drive) or Mallow (30 minute drive) but you can be assured of extreme peace and quiet at your lodge, with gorgeous views and great forest treks nearby such as Ballyhoura mountain and Keale River walk from Ballyorgan. A very enjoyable stay."
"Just back from a fantastic break at Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges. The lodges were very well equipped and were very comfortable. There were three great play areas on the grounds. Our four children had an absolute ball going for walks and mountain biking on the nearby trails. It was a very relaxing holiday and we could not have asked for a better place to stay to explore the area. We saw lots of wildlife in the vicinity. The kids loved seeing the rabbits in the field behind the lodge everyday. Definitely would highly recommend this place. The WiFi was great but we rarely used it."
"I am in love with this place! It was super good 3 days of our dog's life in a free nature! House was very comfortable, clean and cozy! Thanks to Maggie for her good service!"
"The lodges are very comfortable. Three bedrooms, one with an en-suite, good sized lounge/kitchen/diner. The setting is attractive, adjacent to the village of Ballyorgan and in the middle of some of the loveliest landscapes in Ireland. There are several play areas around the site and access to some great walking routes directly from the lodges. Don't forget your groceries though as the closest shop is a fifteen minute drive."
"Picturesque, peaceful, pristine! Just back from a fabulous weekend in Ballyhoura Mountain Lodge. The amenities in the lodge were excellent. The beds were beyond comfortable and the ambience was so restful and calm. We'll definitely be back!"
