"Excellent food. The sirloin was delicious as was the cod and chips. Their peppercorn sauce was one of the best we've tasted and the tartare was top notch too. We'll worth a visit."
"The food was top class. The roast beef dinner, the burger cooked to perfection & my favorite The lamb shank was beautiful, we were served plenty of local vegetables & mashed potatoes. A dinner worth driving to. The host couldn't do enough for us & very knowledgeable about activities in local area."
"Overpriced food and poor service. We very much got the feeling we were being looked at by the hosts as $$$ not customers. When we weren’t ordering the expensive menu items we were largely ignored by the host - not a welcoming atmosphere - wouldn’t particularly recommend"
"Walked into the place and was told very loudly by both the owners that there was a coach coming so were quickly ushered into a cold room next to the bar. She’s yelling at us about drinks, he’s yelling at us about the food. We sat at the window which was nice, ordered fish n chips (not given ANY time to read a menu in peace for 2 minutes) Food came out 3 minutes later. We watched as an unexpected bus load of pensioners filed in (NOT the coach they were expecting) They were all yelled at “soup? Soup? Tea? Coffee!!!” It was actually hilarious to see 25 pensioners squeezed into the front room, (they were actually sssh’d at 1 point!) all spooning chowder into themselves while we all waited for the very special coach load to show up. 2 fish n chips, 2 beers came to €51!!! Tried to pay with a card, got an eye roll and was asked “Cash??!” Lucky I had it. Overall, a weird experience. Food OK, atmosphere…. yelly? Definitely comical. We were out in 35 minutes. Never got to see the coach load of 5 star guests. Won’t be back."
