"I can't believe it is now a week since I got back from six nights staying at Bellatrix! It was a brilliant base for walking in the Beara Peninsula. Rita and Lainey were wonderful hosts, great cooks and provided delicous and plentiful meals. The accomodation was very comfortable and clean and the showers piping hot - just what was needed after a long day walking! I can't wait to go back for another stay in this magical part of Ireland. "I've stayed here twice, both were magical and restorative. Lainey and Rita are terrific, warm hosts who cook a mean breakfast, and the setting is unmatched. There is plenty to do in nearby Castletownbere and lots of brilliant walking and sea swimming, too. (very cold sea swimming!) Rita led a short guided walk that was an absolute joy."
"Just a short stroll away from the sea there is a magical place on Beara peninsula where you feel at home immediately: Bellatrix. It’s very cosy, surrounded by a lovely garden and run by two wonderful women that do their best to care for you having a great time there. You will laugh lots, enjoy delicious food, a sweet cat’s company (if you like) and pure beautiful nature. Rita’s hikes are special and so is everything about Bellatrix. "Bellatrix is set in a beautiful location on the Beara Peninsula. I was attending a retreat in Dzogchen Beara, a mere 10 minute drive away .Rita and Lainey are wonderful hosts ,offering a great B and B experience, and scrumptious food . My stay was thoroughly relaxed and I came away after 2 nights rested ,rejuvenated and renewed . Rita offered suggestions on local walks and places of interest to visit .I would highly recommend a stay at this "Women Only " B and B and hope to return in the near future ."
"You'll fall in love with the quiet surroundings, but the breakfasts will really knock your socks off! Rita goes out of her way with her tasty, homemade fares. The accomodations are clean and comfy and the available information about the area is abundant. You'll not find a batter value and you'll remember your stay here for years to come. With all the places to stay in beautiful Ireland, we would definitely stay here again!"
