"Shocking place. Rude host. No idea how to treat people. Avoid at all costs!"
"Good dorms, but poor facilities (only one toilet for 20+ beds, which doubles as a bathroom so always busy). Terrible welcome & behaviour from the host (eg we were told off for 'late' arrival at 4:30pm, despite sending our ETA ahead of time. Members of our group were also followed into their room and told off rudely for being noisy coming back into the hostel on a Saturday night - the house cracks so much it is impossible to be silent. We were a respectful & quiet group, and were treated like misbehaving children."
"Landlady very abrupt and questioning Very snappy hairs on my bed, toilets unkempt , window stuck. €1 per towel. wanted cash straight away. As we left back keys in the morning, she tried to avoid any engagement with us speaking through half open living door.. no thank you or goodbye . Couldn't wait to vacate So central. But No thanks to again"
"Run away. Creepy place, creepy room, creepy hosts. After a walk on a dark and sad street, we arrived in front on an unwelcoming host. She didn't even say hello, turned back and went upstairs without any explanation. We finally understood we had to follow her to our room.. She didnt showed us any part of the place and neither gave us any information. She just wanted our money. By the way, be careful, they only take cash ! The hostels smelt very bad, smells like old fish and humidity. The room wasn't very clean, and the bathroom was even worse. Walls are like paper and the floor is more than noisy : you can hear everything ! You can't lock your luggage anywhere, and the host told us it wasn't necessary to close our bedroom's door.. Bad luck for us, in the middle of the night, the fire alarm turns in inside our bedroom.. We booked two nights but we didn't want to stay. And here comes the worse part.. The host's husband came into our room without waiting for us to say "come in". When he understood that we wanted to leave, he stood beyond the door, only saying that we had to pay.. His hands was dirty, his nails were black while he was suppose to change the sheets.. We just wanted to run away because he has his belt completly open all the time.. The atmosphere was just scary, we didn't feel safe.. We can't imagine how it would be for a girl who's alone."
"Great hostel for the value, clean beds with linen, tidy rooms, toilet paper in bathrooms. Walls yes very thin as others were commenting but safe place to put your head for the night! Helen (owner) was down to earth hostess."
