Reviews of Womere
"A little bit too close to the road so you can hear the traffic, but otherwise pretty place."
"Once thought to be bottomless, this rare example of upland bog has some of Cannock chase's most unique features. This bog rarely dries out as it is fed by a water table that surfaces in the middle of a reasonable sized bowl on a hilltop, along with many other species you will see the cotton grass and various dragonflies. This area is also reputed to be the inspiration for Guy N Smith's "The Sucking Pit" novel (a prequel to his Walking Dead series of novels)."
