"The postcode to the country park takes you into a housing estate you need to return to the main road and then look out for signs and places to park. The country park is free to walk around. There are a number of pathed paths through the country park. There are also information boards explaining what the country park use to be. There are some beautiful views across the country park. There are no facilities at the park."
"There are no facilities here, but it's so beautiful with a wide selection of birds to watch. Great for dog walking, there are essentially 3 circuits, one pretty flat, one mid-level and one higher up. All circle the lake. There are many additional routes away from the lake. Information boards round the park give us an insight into the history of the park which used to be a coal mine. I haven't tested it for wheelchair users yet."
"Such a lovely nature reserve, very peaceful and I see something new every time. Love a daily walk here on my lunch break, paths are really good so you don't get muddy and the views are amazing!"
"Beautiful. Love taking my dogs. The volunteers and the warden are amazing. Im so grateful to live close to this space."
"We visited Silverdale Country Park for the first time. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place for a walk. Our dog had a lovely time, off lead for most of the walk. We did adhere to the “dogs on leads” signs around the Southern Pool and the Void though! There are lots of different paths to take, so I feel we’ll be back soon to explore a bit more of the park. There are a few different places to park, including across the road at Apedale Country Park!"
