"Wouldn't even give one star.. after going to shrewsbury for an emergency for my dog eye. They could see and hear her in pain. They said eye out. They want it done on 5th December which was a week and a half away. So took her to different vets. Gave her 3x lots of painkillers and booked her in in 2 day to have the operation. She's now so much more comfortable. This company do not care about the life or feelings of other animals. And non profit that's a joke went to one nearer me whole operation and 2x consulting after op cheaper than what you quoted."

"Just home with our beautiful boy Barney 1.5hr journey after TPLO surgery. Can't praise Ed the surgeon enough for his care. He explained everything thoroughly to us prior to surgergy showing xrays etc. Our Barney Bubbles has a few problems but Ed and all the staff at Shrewsbury including reception were wonderful with him. Thank you all so much for taking such good care of him :)"

"I switched to Animal trust having used most of the other local vets over the years and became disillusioned with them. We have taken out dog, kitten and 4 Guinea pigs multiple times and each time they have been AMAZING! We have never paid a consultation fee. And 50% of the time we just needed reassurance which we got. That alone saved us a fortune in consultation costs. When we have needed it the operations went smoothly and we were kept up to date throughout and when we left we had all the help we needed to ensure we could care for our pets at home post treatment easily. This is the only vet I can get my dog Zeus do willingly walk into without him applying the brakes! I really couldn’t recommended them more. Looking at a few other reviews people should remember this is not the NHS for pets. And the free consultations are an absolute god send!"

"I don't normally write reviews but after being surprised by some of the negative ones I felt I had to share my experience. I have been taking my Jack Russell Daisy, to Shrewsbury animal trust since January after she ruptured her cruciate ligament and needed surgery. Every member of staff I had contact with was professional, friendly, polite and helpful. If they said they were going to ring with updates they did. All appointments were on time apart from once when I had to wait about 15 minutes as they were dealing with a emergency. (I would have waited all day without complaing while the staff were busy saving a life) A special mention and thank you to senior surgeon Edward Allsop who carried out the surgery on daisy he is an extremely knowledgeable surgeon. He talked me through everything in detail so i was able to make informed decisions about her treatment, he listened to and took the time to answer my hundreds of questions, he showed compassion towards Daisy and was kind and reassuring when he could see I was upset. Daisy is a rescue dog and spent a long time in kennels before I adopted her. So I found it hard leaving her as I was worried she would think she had been abandoned again but I was reassured she was in safe hands. Her recovery took longer than expected but thanks to everyone at Shrewsbury animal trust she is now doing really well. Some people have commented on how expensive it is. of course it isn't cheap but all prices are clearly stated on the website and it is by far the cheapest I could find so with that and the excellent quality of care I can't recommend them highly enough. "My frenchie Tara had a broken leg and this is the vets who saved her leg, although miles from home and feeling worried I was kept updated and support by the staff. After a 3 hour journey down Tara was taken in to be made comfortable and cared for until her surgery. The surgeon was a magician, the only way to describe what he accomplished is magic. He fixed her leg even though it was tricky and today you wouldn't know the horrific injury she has had. Followed up via telephone with the staff as promised and seen at our local surgery for stitches to be removed. Thank you so much for the care and attention you gave Tara."
