"A great place for whole family. The park is a perfect size, not too big-not too small. A great play area for kids, cafe, toilets, benches and even museum and a shop. Parking is free and cafe not overpriced. What's not to like!"
"Absolutely beautiful. Lovely walks and different trails available! Quite up and down hill, but there are plenty of benches to sit on throughout the walks. Lovely views:) Lots for children as well. Shall certainly visit again."
"Beautiful, lots of woodland walks and countryside scenery. Lots of friendly people and their dogs. Plenty to keep children busy and entertained. Very nice cafe and gift shop. Public toilets. Wheelchair friendly paths even though a bit steep in places. Long walk so didn't have extra time to visit the crafters studios. Looking forward to my next visit."
"I enjoyed my day! It was a nice walk, I think next time I'd bring a picnic, but yes it was absolutely lovely, staff all pleasant and toilets clean! Place was wonderful but heritage centre a little... Bare"
"I have enjoyed this park for a very long time. The cafe has adapted so that it is much easier to order food without having to queue where people are sitting to eat.... in fact I wasn't sure if they still had an indoor eating area? It was a glorious spring day and there are plenty of benches and lots of room for picnic rugs on the grass. My friend and I were visiting to walk our dogs and whilstbit was very conjested near the car park once we git further away we were happy to let our well behaved dogs off to Sniff and explore. There is a really popular children's secure park with a wide range if equipment that would keep younger children very happily playing for a long time. There are plenty of gravelled surface paths which making walking here in the winter less muddy but whilst they are fine but pushchairs the hilly terrain and rough gravel would make it very challenging for wheel chairs so I wouldn't recommend try to go for a walk if you had to push a wheelchair and self propelling would be hard even for an athlete! The public toilet block is small for the visitor numbers but it was clean. There is plentiful parking on grass so you could picnic next to your car if you wished. There is something for everyone here."
