"Always a lovely, peaceful walk. Never feels crowded. Sheep, Highland cows and birds galore. Take your camera and your binoculars!"
"Nice place for a stroll round, especially with the dog. Not vast amounts to see like some of the other parks nearby - unless you're into bird spotting - and not really geared up for children, but a peaceful place with some stunning views."
"Lovely place to walk, relax, unwind and enjoy the fabulous scenery, pathways, butterfly conservation meadows and to take in a bit of bird watching. Other bird enthusiasts, friendly and very helpful with identification of the different species. One of the many Nature Reserves in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire run by The Wildlife Trust, highly recommend a trip to explore nature. There is a Visitor Centre, with lots of information on hand within and from the knowledgeable staff there. Open during the day until about 4.30pm, you can purchase light refreshments here. Parking is free for Wildlife Trust members but chargeable to non members, payable at the Parking meter."
"Amazing walk around the lakes seeing wildlife. Need to go back, it is quite pricey to park. But if it keeps it less tourist heavy and keeps the animals happy."
"Great 2 mile walk around the lake. Lots of hides scattered around the Nature Reserve, so you can observe the birds and wildlife at a distance. When I came here before, the car parking was free. Now its £4.00 minimum. You can only get here by car, so the captive parking fee is outrageously expensive. Add it to the list of things such as gas, electricity, food, petrol that are going through the roof. If parking was still free, this nature reserve would get 5 stars. The car park does have provision for disabled parking. There are portaloos if you need a toilet, and there is the Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire Wildlife Trust Porta cabin where you can join the Trust and they also serve refreshments."
