"A great place, well kept, lots of parking and lots of friendly people."
"Beach is the perfect place for a fire pit at night. Many an evening has been spent round a fire in Salterns, it’s such a great place. Beach is chilly but wavy lots of the time. Good place to walk a dog and not too far from Lee beach too."
"Lovely balmy evening. Car parks 90% full after 18:30 due to the fine weather. Great walk along the front from Salterns car park to Lee on Solent yacht club, 4 miles return."
"Lovely dog walk but not in the summer, when dogs are banned from the beach. Very windy today."
"It's always an uplifting walk along this section of the coast with great views across to the Isle of Wight. The winds also make it one of the best places in the world to kitesurf or windsurf. There are toilets and a food hut beside Monk's Way car park. Otherwise, there are cafes and a pub a short walk further along the coast in either direction."
