"South Pastures made my grandson's first riding lesson absolutely perfect, going far to gaining another riding enthusiast. They also made it a wonderful birthday treat. Thanks to his charming young instructress, we'll certainly be coming again. Florence, his pony, was much higher up and more 'wobbly' than his rocking horse, and I thought the lesson was going to end before it started. But he dug deep into his reserves, and Fran was so lovely with him, both patient and encouraging, that he was soon chatting 19 to the dozen. They weaved between cones, walked between trotting poles (the tunnel), then over them. She taught him to kick to start, and to draw reins to stop. He was reluctant to swing legs round to face the back, but she gently got him to do that too for the punchline ~ Where has her head gone? !!! Before the end of the lesson, he declared his intention of doing this more, and one day not needing a lead rein. The half-hour hack to and around the Norman church is pleasant, with a little canter track, not used on this occasion. The 45-minute hack would have taken us through pretty little woods."

Brilliant, friendly and informative staff taught my four year old twins even when they were just having a little hack, and everyone showed due diligence to health and safety at all times.
